FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Everything you need to know about ordering, delivery, returns and caring for your TAZIL pieces. If your question is not answered here, we are only a message away.
Ordering
Are your pieces made to order or ready to ship?
Both. A large part of our collection is in stock and ready to be dispatched. Our statement bridal sets are made to order — crafted for you once you place the order, rather than pulled off a shelf.
Where a piece is made to order, its product page says so and gives an estimated making time, usually 3 to 4 weeks or 4 to 6 weeks depending on the design. Always check the product page for the piece you are buying.
How long will my order take to arrive?
For a ready-to-ship piece, it is delivery time only: Standard, 2 to 4 business days, or Express, 1 to 3 business days from dispatch.
For a made-to-order piece, add the making time shown on its product page (3 to 4, or 4 to 6 weeks) and then the delivery time above.
I need it for a specific date. Can you rush an order?
Often, yes — but please ask before you order rather than after. Message us on WhatsApp with the piece and your date and we will tell you honestly whether it can be done.
If you are ordering for a wedding, give us as much notice as you possibly can. A made-to-order set cannot be conjured up in a week.
Can I change the colour of a piece?
Yes, on many of our designs — colour customisation is available across a large part of the collection, and the product page will say so where it applies.
Tell us what you need on WhatsApp before or straight after ordering and we will confirm what is possible for that design.
Can I buy just one piece from a set?
Yes. On most of our sets the pieces can be bought individually — just the necklace, just the earrings, just the tikka. If you cannot see the option on the product page, message us and we will set it up for you.
Can I mix pieces from different designs into one set?
You can. Choose the pieces you love from across the website and we will bring them together into the set you have in mind. Send them to us on WhatsApp and we will confirm the price and the making time.
Can I order something I have seen on your Instagram?
Can I change or cancel my order?
Get in touch as quickly as you can on WhatsApp, or email taziljewellery@gmail.com with your order number.
If your order has not yet been dispatched, or a made-to-order piece has not yet gone into production, we can usually help. Once work has started on a made-to-order or customised piece we may not be able to change or cancel it — but we will always tell you exactly where your order stands.
I did not receive an order confirmation email.
Check your spam and promotions folders first, as confirmation emails often land there. If it is still missing, message us with the name and email address you ordered under and we will resend it and confirm your order is safely in the system.
Payment & Pricing
What payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Discover, Diners Club and UnionPay, as well as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay and Klarna.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes — Klarna is available at checkout, so you can spread the cost. The available plans and any eligibility checks are handled by Klarna directly at the payment step.
Are prices in pounds, and do they include VAT?
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT, so the price you see is the price you pay for the item. Delivery is added at checkout.
If you are browsing in another currency, that figure is an approximate conversion — your order is charged in GBP.
Is it safe to pay on your website?
Yes. Payment is handled by Shopify’s secure checkout over an encrypted connection. Your full card details are never visible to us and are never stored by us.
Delivery
Where do you ship?
We ship across the United Kingdom and internationally.
If you are ordering from outside the UK and no delivery option appears for your country at checkout, please do not give up — message us on WhatsApp with your address and the pieces you would like and we will arrange it with you directly.
How much is delivery?
Within the UK:
Standard — £3.99, arriving 2 to 4 business days after dispatch.
Express — £6.95, arriving 1 to 3 business days after dispatch.
International delivery is quoted at checkout, or by us directly if your country is not yet listed.
Can I track my order?
Yes. As soon as your parcel is dispatched we will email your tracking details so you can follow it to your door. Everything we send goes on a tracked service.
Will I have to pay customs or import duties?
Not within the UK. Our prices already include VAT and there is nothing further to pay on delivery.
For orders outside the UK, any customs charges or import taxes are set by the destination country and are the responsibility of the person receiving the parcel. They are not included in the item price or the delivery charge, and we are not able to calculate or pay them on your behalf.
Can I collect my order in person?
We do not offer collection at the moment — every order goes out by tracked delivery. If you are local and collecting would genuinely help, message us on WhatsApp and we will see what we can do.
My tracking says delivered, but nothing has arrived.
Check with your neighbours and anywhere your courier commonly leaves parcels, and look for a card. If it still has not appeared, contact us on WhatsApp or at taziljewellery@gmail.com with your order number as soon as you can and we will open an investigation with the courier.
Returns
What is your returns policy?
We accept returns where a piece arrives damaged in transit, or where you have been sent the wrong item.
Because our jewellery is handmade, and much of it is either made to order or customised for you, we are not able to accept returns for a change of mind, for fit, or for the small natural variations that come with hand-set work.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
My piece arrived damaged. What should I do?
Please film yourself opening the parcel. An unedited unboxing video is the only way we can tell damage that happened in transit from damage that happened afterwards, so we are not able to approve a claim without one. Send it to us within 6 hours of delivery, while the parcel is fresh.
Send the video and clear photographs of the damage to taziljewellery@gmail.com or on WhatsApp, along with your order number. Claims must be raised within 14 days of delivery.
Please keep the item and all of its original packaging until we have come back to you.
What happens after I report a damaged item?
We review your video and photographs and come back to you as quickly as we can. If your claim is approved we will agree the return with you and arrange either a replacement or a refund.
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method. Once we have processed it, your bank or card provider usually takes a few working days to show the money in your account.
Who pays for return postage?
Return postage is paid by the buyer, and the item must be sent back on a tracked service. We cannot take responsibility for a return that goes missing on its way to us, so please keep your proof of postage until the return is complete.
It does not fit, or I have changed my mind. Can I return it?
Not under our returns policy, which covers items damaged in transit or sent in error. If something is not sitting right, do still message us on WhatsApp — there is often more we can do than you would expect, particularly on pieces we have made for you.
The Jewellery
What is your jewellery made of?
Our pieces are 24ct gold-plated, hand-set with polki and kundan-style stones, pearls and semi-precious beads. Materials vary a little across our ranges, so where a design uses something particular you will find it noted on that product’s page.
Is it real gold?
Our jewellery is 24ct gold-plated rather than solid gold, and that is a deliberate choice. It lets us build pieces with the scale, weight and detail of traditional bridal polki at a price that does not have to be saved for a single wear.
Will it tarnish, and how do I look after it?
Looked after well, your jewellery will hold its finish for a long time. A few habits make all the difference:
Keep it away from water, perfume, hairspray and lotions — put your jewellery on last, once hair and make-up are done. Wipe each piece gently with a soft dry cloth after wearing. Store pieces separately in their pouch or box, somewhere dry and out of direct sunlight, so they cannot rub against one another.
What shortens the life of plating is moisture and chemicals far more than wear.
How do I know it will fit? Do you offer different sizes?
Our pieces are made in a standard size, and necklaces and chokers are adjustable. For rings and bangles, where fit matters most, message us on WhatsApp before you order with your size and we will confirm what we can do for that design.
Please do ask first — we are not able to accept returns on the basis of fit.
I have sensitive skin. Is your jewellery suitable?
Our pieces are gold-plated over metal alloys rather than made from a single precious metal. If you have a known metal sensitivity or allergy, message us on WhatsApp before ordering and tell us what you react to, and we will be straight with you about whether a piece is a good idea.
Why does my piece look slightly different from the photos?
Every piece is set by hand, so small differences in stone colour, placement and tone are completely normal — they are the signature of hand-set work rather than a fault. Screens and lighting also change how gold tones and stones appear.
Still Need Help
How do I get in touch?

You can also email taziljewellery@gmail.com, or send us a DM on Instagram or TikTok.
Do you have a shop I can visit?
